In one of her posts, she wrote,

First night kwa jela was hard. I didn't sleep the whole night. I was crying on the floor with my one shoe as the pillow because they took the other one. It was so cold and 90% of my fellow cellmates were drunk and they all started teasing me and one was like "kama waislamu hawana pesa ya kutoa wao jela, mimi ni nani nitolewe?".

Adding,

The three days that I slept in prison my mum was busy looking for money to get me out and she'd always come to pay me a visit though visitors were not allowed so sikuwa namuona but polisi would tell me that amekuja.

Nasra was later taken to court charged with possession of fake official documents and released on a Ksh50,000 which wasn't easy to raise.

Nasra is a soft-spoken and multitalented comedienne is trying to change the negative perception that some people have of Somalis by confronting the stereotypes head-on. She is doing well in the male-dominated field.
