Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant left a packed Staples Center in tears while paying tribute to her husband and daughter Gianna aka Gigi.
The legendary basketball player perished in a helicopter crash in Calabasas last in January alongside his daughter Gigi and seven others.
The 37-year-old widow described Kobe as her soulmate and loving father to their kids.
I couldn't see him as a celebrity, nor just an incredible basketball player. He was my sweet husband and the beautiful father of our children. He was mine. He was my everything. ... Kobe loved me more than I could express or put into words.
Paying tribute to Gigi who died at 13, the emotional mother said,
She was an incredible athlete. She was great at gymnastics, soccer, softball, dance, and basketball,' the mother of four said in part.
Gigi was confident but not in an arrogant way. She loved helping and teaching other people things. At school, she offered the boys' basketball coaches to help give the boys' basketball team some pointers -- like the triangle offense.
Her tribute left many in tears and she concluded by saying,
Babe, you take care of our Gigi and I got Nani (Natalie), Bibi (Bianka) and Koko (Capri). We're still the best team. We love and miss you Booboo and Gigi. May you both rest in peace and have fun in heaven until we meet again one day. We love you both and miss you. Forever and always.
