Singer Akothee has landed yet another ambassadorial role. Akothee was named the brand ambassador of Peptang Kenya yesterday.
The deal saw Akothee go around marketing product including activation of Awendo market in Migori County.
Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke the excited singer said,
The brand ambassadorship is involving and being a family product, there are pros and cons. And one of the reasons I stopped twerking in the bathroom is because the cheque 'doesn't promote' twerking.
Most brand ambassadors are paid handsomely and the bigger the brand, the fatter the cheque. Akothee is, therefore, earning nothing less than Sh1 million.
'I've been receiving good cash from my brand as an influencer as well as a brand ambassador. But this doesn't just come with cash but also with passion. I am a housewife and a good mother and from the range of products manufactured from our own country I know I'm able to feed my family and fans at large,' she said.
The mother of five has welcomed the new job wholeheartedly and while campaigning for the product, she said,
I've been to the factory myself and all the products are organic. I am also happy that I have a chance to continue with my dream as a farmer since I have a ready market for my tomatoes which is Peptang.
Akothee is planning to start a TV show called Madam Boss Kitchen, where she will share her cooking skills in partnership with Peptang.
'I will pursue my career as a chef/housewife with the brand madam boss kitchen powered by Peptang. I will learn how to cook new food stuffs and also teach ladies how to prepare traditional or local food e.g making sauce out of peanut butter,' she said.
Akothee together with her best friend Zari are gearing up for the Women's conference, which will be held in Nairobi this August.
The richest Kenyan artiste is also the brand ambassador of Silverstone Airline.
