Yesterday the high court declined to grant Joseph Irungu alias Jowie bail for the second time saying witnesses under protection feel threatened if he's released before they testify.

Irungu and Maribe appeared in court casually dressed. Jowie was wearing a t-shirt, a pair of jeans and jacket.
Justice James Wakiaga dismissed Joseph's application for a bail review and ordered that everyone under protection should testify before he could consider bond terms.

He further said that after taking the evidence of witnesses under protection, the court will also consider a pre-bail report from the probation office.
The prosecution will be calling 32 witnesses among them experts in the trial of Jacque Maribe and co-accused Irungu.
