Saumu shared a photo posing with stacks of cash [1,000 notes of old currency] and captioned it,

I know what I bring to the table, so trust me when I say I’m not afraid to eat alone

The governor spoke about the attack saying,

MY DAUGHTER WAS WATCHING FOOTBALL WITH LAMU SENATOR AND OTHER PEOPLE AT MEMPHIS BECAUSE SHE LIVES JUST AROUND THERE. WHEN SOMEONE IS GROWN UP, THEY HAVE THEIR FREEDOM.

SO I WAS SHOCKED AFTER EIGHT GOONS ARMED WITH PANGAS AND MACHETES AND THERE WAS A POLICEWOMAN WHO WAS INVOLVED. AS MY DAUGHTER WENT TO THE TOILET, THEY TORE HER CLOTHES AND WANTED TO ATTACK HER. SHE SCREAMED THEN THE PEOPLE AROUND CAME TO THE RESCUE OF MY DAUGHTER, IN THE PROCESS, THE SENATOR WAS ATTACKED.

SHE REPORTED THE MATTER AT KASARANI POLICE STATION AND INVESTIGATIONS WERE DONE. ONE DAVID KOMBO LUCAS WAS ARRESTED. THIS IS A CASE WITH A SYSTEM. THE SENATOR IS IN THE ICU HATUJUi KAMA ATAPONA.
