The term socialite is generously described as a person who is well known in fashionable society and is fond of social activities and entertainment.

I will add more to this description. A person whose only claim is that they have no discernible talent but still become figures that society wants to ape and follow.

In Kenya, we have a few of those. From the A-List types like Vera and Huddah to the lower tier ones like Pendo, Mishi Dorah and Bridget Achieng.

Many of these ladies give out their ages but many a time we are left wondering if the ages they give are accurate, because they either look younger or much older.

Huddah Monroe

Huddah was also born in 1991 but she one would not guess that as she still looks like she is 23 or 24-years-old. Good genes or make-up cat-fishing, who knows.

Bridget Achieng

This loud and proud voluptuous lady claims to be 29. She even celebrated her birthday yesterday. But to my eyes, she looks like she is pushing 40.

Maybe Nairobi Dairies is bad for one's health. Maybe.

Corazon Kwamboka

Corazon looks really delicious I must say. She was born in 1994! That means she is only 24 years-old. Hahaha! Why don't I believe her?

I think she looks closer to 28 or 29. Don't get me wrong. She still looks good. A bit extra in the tummy area but at least she is now hitting the gym.

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I'm right -Ashleigh Brilliant.
