A 26-year-old Kenyan woman identified as Ivy Mugure Daniel is cooling her heels in a Ghanian prison.

According to Ghanaian media reports, Ivy Mugure was accosted by officers, 'who asked for her check-in luggage and following a search, a big parcel wrapped with a black polythene material containing an off-white powdery substance weighing three kilograms was discovered.'

She explained that the luggage belonged to her boyfriend, who she only identified as Benson. Ivy revealed that Benson bought her a ticket and gave her a traveling bag to pack her belongings little did she know it was a trap.

Ivy is currently spending nights at a prison in Ghana.  In 2015, socialite Pesh Lema was also jailed in Ghana for 10 years after she was caught smuggling drugs out of the West African nation.
