During the 2014 World Cup, I was an intern at a leading magazine in Karen. Knowing that the area is perpetually cold, I used to have my hair on as long as I could. This made guys think that I was older than I was; it earned me respect especially at public places.

Of late, I have embraced a really cool, clean shave that makes people unwillingly complimen my cut. I am wondering what they would do if they found out the kind of haircut I get whenever I go to watch my favorite football team play during weekends. It's my routine, so to say. By the time I get to work the next morning, I’m normally in my usual element.

Personally I have been a fan of The Reds lately. Getting this haircut keeps me on my toes and reminds me not to miss the game; I can't go to that extent of preparing and not show up.

When I get a crazy cut, it makes me bolder than ever; it allows me to celebrate who I am. It gives me another identity that I wouldn’t have by just being normal. Whether you are a Gunners or a Red Devils fan, you can relate to this. Perhaps your best way to come out of your comfort zone is rocking a cool team jersey while enjoying the game with your friends. That’s cool too. As long as you enjoy the game to the maximum!

Talking about the hairstyle that Kenyans are talking about actually appeared in a GUINNESS #MadeOfFootball TVC that’s been airing lately. In the clip, there’s a chick who got a ball inspired haircut! Imagine that! How passionate is she about this game? She’s not shying away from expressing herself as a football fan.

What’s even more interesting about the TVC is that whoever watches it has got a chance to win amazing GUINNESS merchandise.

The video shows many locations in the Africa, most of it being shot in Kenya. If you get to know one of the locations in the video as you watch it, take a screenshot, post it on your social media (be it Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) using the hashtag #MadeOfFootball and name the place. You’ll win some cool stuff from the GUINNESS team!
