Braimah Isaac Kamoko also known as Bukom Banku was born on August 17, 1980. He is a Ghanaian professional boxer with an undefeated record of 28-0-0, of which 21 of them are via Knock Outs. Braimah first rose to prominence by winning a bronze medal in the Heavyweight 1999 All-Africa Games in South Africa.

He won the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight title in 2011, and the WBO Africa Cruiserweight title in 2012. Negotiations have taken place for a possible WBO World Light Heavyweight championship fight with Sergey Kovalev in Russia which is yet to materialize. He has under-looked all these achievements and has opted to go from black to white -bleaching.

According , the boxer has revealed that his wife advised him to bleach. Banku says that his wife of five years, who had already bleached her skin, convinced him that changing his skin colour would suit him better. He adds that he has not regretted taking the decision to change his colour and is enjoying it.

“My wife advised me [to bleach]…she bleached herself first and she gave me that advise and I have also taken it. Look at my body now…I like my colour,” he said.

Bukom Banku also asked Ghanaians to stop talking about his new colour saying he is tired of being black and wants to enjoy having a white skin.He has since posted severally on Facebook telling people to stop being bothered by his decision.

"My name is Bukom Banku aka Africa's Mayweather.. I was black and now I want to be fair. How does that concern you?"

"Bukom Banku aka Africa's Mayweather! What is your problem with me? Is it your body? Is it your skin?"

"Africa's Mayweather. I am bleaching and so what?"
