As I had reported earlier in June, Miss Tourism Kenya Kirinyaga County 2013 Wambui Mureithi is representing Kenya in Equador. She is participating in the global pageant of Miss United Continent, alongside her colleagues from all over the world.

Wambui, a BSc. International Travel and Tourism Management student at Utalii College told me that she wanted to represent Kenya as a dynamic tourism destination and her diverse culture. The other three contestants from Africa represent South Africa, Tanzania and Nigeria.

The beautiful young lady is a supporter of the Niko Sober Campaign which aims to eliminate illicit brew consumption amongst the male children in the society and empowering them. She has been working closely with the county government of Kirinyaga, led by Governor J.K. Ndathi.

in the pageant include Ellenor James (Australia), Andrea Velasco (Bolivia), Nathalia Lago (Brazil), Ting Wang (China) and Giuliana Chiappa from Argentina. Major congrats to Wambui for representing Kenya, despite having faced financial challenges at first!
