Lets Get Drinking: Vihiga Governor Legalises Brewing of "Busaa"

After a number of complains from bar owners in Vihiga county, the Governor Moses Akaranga has finally approved the Alcoholic Drinks Bill which is expected end the tussles between NACADA and bar owners in the country.

The Bill that was signed into law last week now legalises brewing of Busaa in the county, so long as brewers get license and approval from public health officers.

After a series of public participation forums, the Bill was taken to the county assembly where it was approved and the governor signed it in to law. It will be a relief for bar owners who have been at war with government agencies - Mr Khajeri
