Multi-talented artist Miriam Chemmoss who is based in the states has called out her insensitive relatives who are "spinning" tales now that her mother has passed on.

Miriam who has starred in various productions on television pilots such as "Ya Maafrika" and "Bedford Diaries" is currently in mourning.

She has also hosted her own radio show - “Retrospect” at Voice of America Broadcasting Services - and was later featured in the CBS hit Television series “The District" in 2003. Miriam was also featured in several independent films such as “Refuge”, “Mirrors” and “To Sleep With Anger”.

The Diaspora based entertainer broke the news on social media.

"My mom is gone. I can't breathe. I can't even type," Miriam Chemmoss wrote.

She added, "Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and comforting messages I have received since I learned of my mom's passing, the day before yesterday. I feel lost and confused and not exactly able to verbalize much.

However, I have read each and every single message and my heart is filled with gratitude. Your messages and prayers are giving me much needed strength to get through the shock and devastation I feel about losing my mom. I'm sorry I can't respond right away but I will keep you updated as the days go by.

I'm collecting all the memories I can so I can pay her the tribute she truly deserves. Thank you all again, so much for all the support you have given me. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾"

After word spread of her mother's death, she started getting negative feedback. Mirriam Chemmoss then responded to them swiftly.

"Losing my mom this past Tuesday feels like I just got hit by an asteroid, even though for the past 5 years, I've seen her health condition worsen and have desperately tried to do everything I can to get her better. It still didn't prepare me for the magnitude of the pain I'd be feeling right now.

As I'm slowly recovering from the shock, now I have to deal with relatives and friends who are spinning stories and adding more pain to my tragedy.

To all my mom's relatives and friends who are now calling each other and spinning stories....because...all you remember are the good times...and were never there during the rough times...when I carried the burden all by myself...with the help of 1-4 people....and now because of your guilt, you are spinning stories and blaming me for not telling you...blah blah blah.....it all comes down to this - you were not there.

Miriam continued, "In this day and age of cell phones and social media, calling and checking on someone is super easy. In the past 5 years, I gave a lot of you her phone number to call and you did not call. Deal with that and keep your guilt to yourself. Let me mourn my mom in peace. Let me grieve for my mother in peace. #celebratetheliving #letmemourninpeace."
