News going round is that legendary Congolese singer Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba poularly known as Papa Wemba is dead. The Rhumba veteran died earlier today in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire where he participated in the Urban Music Festival Anoumabo.

He collapsed on stage and passed away. He is one of the most popular and successful African musicians. Papa Wemba was 66 years old.

Papa Wemba will be remembered for his hit songs such as; Show Me The Way, Mwasi and Rail On among others.
