Larry Madowo talks about his new job in the US

Media personality Larry Madowo has for the first time spoken about his new job.

Larry was the Business Editor at BBC in the Kenyan bureau, a day like this last year, July 29, 2019, Larry said he was taking a sabbatical from the BBC for his fellowship at Columbia Journalism School.

He graduated from Columbia with a Master of Arts in Business and Economics Journalism on 20 May 2020.

He has now bagged another job as the US correspondent for BBC World.

And his first story is about the inner workings of a COVID-19 intensive care unit.

Larry announced all this on his social media. He said,

A year after I took a career break, I’m back to reporting. I’m doing a new thing as a US Correspondent covering this pivotal moment in America for the 📺 BBC News and 📻 BBC World Service. My first story, from inside a COVID-19 ICU, airs today across the BBC."
