Machachari director Kimani Mburu is mourning the death of his wife Mary Mukiri.

Mary, a mother of four lost the battle to lung cancer on Tuesday night. She was undergoing treatment at Texas cancer centre.

She was the mother to Machachari show actress Shi, who played the role of Millie's best friend.

Speaking to Mpasho, Kimani said,

IT HURTS TO SEE SOMEONE WHO WAS HEALTHY AND OKAY JUST DIE LIKE THAT. 

Adding,

YOU HAVE TO BE COURAGEOUS AND STRONG FOR THEM (CANCER PATIENTS). CANCER LEAVES ONE MALNOURISHED, DRAINS YOUR POCKET AND EVEN AFTER THAT SHE DIDN’T MAKE IT.
