Faith Wangui, a mother of two, who went missing on Sunday, November 10 was found murdered and her body thrown in a thicket near Menengai Crater in Nakuru.

The 25-year-old mother left Muranga on Saturday last week, where she lives with her children for Nakuru. She was taking the kids - a six-year-old and a two-year-old - to their aunt's place for December holidays and was to return to Muranga on Sunday but she didn't.

Faith hooked up with her estranged lover Joseph Muchiri to iron out their differences.

They met at a club in Nakuru town and never returned back home.

Aliniambia anaenda date tao usiku kitu saa tano. AKANITEXT Akaniambia watu wako naye wamemwambia waende Crater THERE WAS A Rocking club inaitwa Menengai resort,' Wangui's sister told Citizen TV. [She told me she had a date in town at around 11 pm. Later in the night, she texted me saying that the people she was hanging out with had requested they change the venue and go to Menengai Resort club].

Wangui's brother confronted Joseph Muchiri [her sister's ex-lover], asking him where was after she disappeared without a trace.

He (Muchiri) confirmed that they were together and he even showed me MPesa transaction message, which he received after paying for food at a local entertainment joint,' said Wangui's brother.

Six days later her body was discovered near Menegai Crater with her left hand and breast chopped off. Her face was doused in acid.

The family added that Muchiri was very abusive and last year Wangui was forced to leave him.

Their marriage wasn't good, The guy was a threat and for the six years they were together it was hell for my sister. There's a time he beat her leaving her for dead two weeks after giving birth,' Wangui's brother added.

The suspect is on the run.
