A sombre mood engulfed Kathuri Village in Runyenjes Constituency as mourners paid their last respects to Mama Rhoda Njura Misheck.

Mama Njura, who passed away at the age of 94, was the grandmother of Mike Sonko's wife Primrose Mbuvi. She reportedly had a close relationship with the Senator's family.

Among those in attendance at the burial ceremony were Sonko's daughters; Saumu, Salma, Sandra and his adopted sons Gift and Satrine Osinya.

The cortege left Runyenjes District Mortuary on Thursday, December 7 before proceeding to Kathuri Village where she was laid to rest. May her soul rest in peace.
