Yesterday night, Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol took to Social Media to share a photo of one of their members posing with socialite Vera Sidika. Bien was with Vera on the red carpet at the recently concluded Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards in Uganda. They at the awards.

They urged their fans to spread the love instead of concentrating on others' flaws and past mistakes.

As usual, their fans had to weigh in on the post and this is what was apparent in the comments section; that the band had betrayed them for supporting a rather controversial public figure.

These are the 5 things that they concluded:

1. "Live and Die In Afrika" Was All About Money

One of the fans alluded that the band using the tag "Live And Die In Afrika" was all about money but not keeping their word. Another fan said he was confused about the stand that they had taken. He alleged that the phrase was just for marketing their song releases!

See this?

2. They would be tagged as sponsors

One of their fans joked that they would be called sponsors from now onwards. This is because it is perceived that socialites have 'sponsors' who fund their life style in exchange for the groceries. Back in March, a popular radio presenter even ! Here's what the fan said.

3. Vera Sidika is not a true African lady

The disagreeing fans said that if Vera was a true African queen as she calls herself, she would have embraced her flaws instead of trying to ape the west. Using her butt to get money was a good thing, but enlarging her boobs and getting rid of her melanin was kinda stupid.

4. She was more beautiful in her dark skin

One Perry said that Vera was more beautiful in her dark skin but her self esteem couldn't allow her to stay so. She added that the criticism she gets from people is not hate but more of a point that they're trying to put across. She simply f*cked up.

The last one was the most interesting >>

5. She was not brave by lightening her skin

Many Kenyans have always questioned Vera's decision to 'bleach' her skin. She apparently does not come across as an inspiring public figure. Sauti Sol being an inspiration for the younger generation seem to have sent out the wrong message with their social media campaign!
