As a developing country, Kenya faces a lot of challenges such as poverty, poor infrastructure, insecurity, diseases, poor health facilities among others. It seems like we will still drag behind seeing the kind of things that are happening in our hospitals. Ever since the introduction of the counties, the health sector has been deteriorating everyday and we hope the central government will do something.

The hospital lacks mattresses and patients are forced to lie on carton boxes. Kakamega County has been in the past listed among the poorly performing counties.
