Mike Sonko is a man of the people. But even men of the people have family that need them. He was reminded of this fact today.

Today, Mike Sonko was surprised by his family including his famous daughters Salma and Saumu. They gifted him with gifts and a cake to mark the new year.

Suprise, Mike Sonko wrote on his Facebook, "What a birthday surprise by my family. Nilijifanya mjuaji nikadecide kucelebrate birthday na patients nyayoo, Kumbe family imenipangia yao home. Thanks for the suprise Mama na family yote I love you all."

A Facebooker tried to troll Mike Sonko for celebrating his birthday with his family.

Abdifatah Kerow wrote, "This is amoke (sic) to the suffering Kenyans due to drought and one is busy chest thumbing juu ya kuandaliwa birthday."

Sonko yeye ni nani?

He clapped back at Adifatah saying, "Peleka feelings zako mbali whom I'm I mocking by celebrating my Birthday with my family. Inaonekana you are familyless thts why you are jealous. Vunja glass umeze pieces ama nunua wembe ule na miraa."
