Cleanliness is next to godliness, but to some people especially touts (makanga's) this is just a waste of time. Most of them don't believe in cleanliness. They are always dirty, stinking and untidy. If you travel in some of the city matatus you will agree with me that indeed touts do not value hygiene.

Being a cold season, these touts seem to be taking advantage of the weather without knowing that they are scaring their customers away. Their dirty clothes, the odour and stinky bodies keep customers away. With the help of social media users, here is the full list of matatu's with the dirtiest, stinking and untidy touts, go through.

1. Lang'ata

Popularly referred to as "LA or Lang'o", Lang'ata is without doubt one of the best places in the city that hosts the middle class. Despite many having cars, we have some who don't even own one thus use Matatus to commute. However, all is not always well, you will hear them complain of the touts; reason being, they are dirty, untidy hence making it hard for them to travel.

2. Nairobi West

Just like their counterparts (above) the touts on this route (14) are the dirtiest of all. Everyday I use number 14 Matatus and I can confirm that they are the dirtiest. They always converge at the Nyayo National Stadium stage calling for customers to fill vehicles and if you happen to move near them, the smell can even give you a running nose. They stink like rotten garbage, recycle clothes and smelling urine is most common amongst all. These touts should embrace cleanliness!

3. Huruma

Despite having come from an area with plenty of water, these touts seem to be afraid of water. Their bad odour can even clog the nose of a newborn baby. Other than being dirty, they are at times so rude.

4. Kangemi

They should have been the first on the list. Everday I use these matatus (23 to be specific) and I can tell you for free Kangemi touts are dirty. They stink like fish that has overstayed, they sweat alot, and if one happens to open his/her mouth the smell that comes out tells it all. Unlike other routes where women makangas are always neat, hairstyle on fleek, there is no difference between Kangemi female touts and their male counterparts. They are all the same. Madonda wa Ungem please ogeeni.

5. Kawangware - Wangige (103)

These matatus are always, old, overloaded and stuffy. When you happen to board such matatus, be ready for antyhing. All the windows are always closed, full of luggage, people forced to sit more than 3 and chicken all over. The crew seem to fear water so much, and maybe that's why you will always have strange smells whenever you board these matatus. What about if someone has a cold or tb? These touts and drivers never care about that, all they want is money.

6. Ngumo

First of all, most of the matatus that operate on this route (33) are unroad worthy. They operate within some of the best city estates from Ngumo via Nairobi West, South C to South B but these matatus have the dirtiest crew (drivers and touts). I wonder how those who use these matatus feel. They are always packed and no space to breathe.
