Dennis Oliech popularly referred to as Dennis The Menace aka Wuod Mary won the hearts of many football fans both locally and internationally. Oliech used to terrorize defenders and goalkeepers back in the day and was a feared opponent. The last time Kenya featured in Africa’s biggest soccer bonanza 11 years ago, Oliech made his mark in African football pages and was voted among the ten most promising players in the world alongside Wayne Rooney.

Oliech who recently hang his boots seems to be sinking into oblivion and of late, the once upon a time superstar has been laying low like an envelope. Is he broke like many claim? Has he shifted his focus from football to his family or is he concentrating on his new ambassadorial roles? Well, only 'The Menace' himself can answer these questions.

Over the weekend, the much anticipated Koroga Festival went down at the Carnivore restaurant that saw many especially celebrities in attendance. Dennis Oliech was among the revelers who were treated to an electrifying performance by Congolese singer Fally Ipupa. The artiste who is known for his unique fashion and dance moves left Kenyans wowed.

Well, a photo of Oliech looking emaciated surfaced online leaving the entire nation shocked.

Robert Adi: Dennis Oliech 's journey from rags to riches and back to the gutters again.. A player who used to pocket Kshs 150M annually while playing for Auxxiere FC & Kshs 90M at AC Ajaccio not forgetting the millions he earned at Nantes FC and in Qatar. So sad

But it seems this is Oliech's new look and nothing compared to what Kenyans think as he hasn't come out to respond to critics.

There have been rumours that Oliech is hallowing in poverty but he has always denied this and three days ago, he was named the Bunson Travel 2018 FIFA World Cup Brand Ambassador.
