Michael Owino, who allegedly stabbed his father Dr. Michael Amollo 18 times to death recently, caused a stir at Milimani Law Courts when he appeared before Justice Jessy Lesiit. Mr. Owino did not plead guilty to charges of murder leaving Justice Lesiit doubting his mental stability.

Mr. Owino turned the court room in to a photo shoot session. As the hearing was ongoing, he noticed journalists taking photos of him, he ignored the business of the day and started posing and smiled for the cameras. The late,  Dr. Michael Amollo, was killed at Bandari Villas, in South C Estate a few months after his wife passed away in a road accident.

Justice Lesiit said that the case would be mentioned on June 8, this year after obtaining the doctor’s report on Mr Owino’s mental health.
