Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz are probably the most listened to Bongo stars in and across East Africa.

The two were once best of friends and all of a sudden the two started throwing shade at each other. Their friend identified by the name A.T who happens to be a singer told a Tanzanian based radio station that the two started their bad blood during a trip to Oman.

According to A.T who is a long time friend to both Ali Kiba and Diamond, the two disagreed at a hotel when they were having fun playing play station in 2010.

“Tulikuwa Oman kwenye Hotel moja. Tulikuwa na Show, sasa walikuwa wanacheza Game Alikiba na Diamond huku Alikiba akiwa amechagua Real Madrid na Diamond amechagua Barcelona. Alikiba akilikuwa amefungwa mbili, Diamond tatu" AT said

He continued to narrate;

“Kwa hiyo Alikiba alikuwa nataka kupiga free-kick kwenye game Diamond akamsukuma Alikiba na Alikiba akastopisha game akamwambia kuwa mwanangu nilikuwa nakutafuta muda mrefu sana ikabidi mimi ninyanyuke sasa niwaamue."

A.T went on to say that he was a fan of the two;

“Mimi ni shabiki mkubwa wa AliKiba lakini napenda sana kusikiliza nyimbo za Diamond Platnumz sina tatizo naye.”Mimi ni shabiki namba 1 wa Alalikiba kuliko hata Abdu Kiba. Ila sio kwamba namchukia."

Their drama did not end there, Diamond was later accused of betraying his once upon a time best friend Ali Kiba when he 'stole' his song.

According to Ommy Dimpoz, a close friend of the two, Diamond and Ali Kiba were about to collabo in a song after which the Salome hitmaker went on to remove Ali Kiba's adlibs in the song and later released it as a single dubbed Lala Salama.

Ommy Dimpoz said;

"Ali alifanya nyimbo ya Ukilala Lala Salama ya Diamond…Ali akamshauri aweke ad libs, akamwambia Ali aziingize hizo sauti…Nyimbo ikawa inasikika yaani vizuri unasikia zile hardlips za Ali, wakati ile album ya D inatoka D akaenda akatoa sauti za Ali akaingiza zake yeye.”

This was the beginning of their never ending beef. It seems the two are not going to patch things up very soon. Come to think of it, their collabo would hit international headlines.
