This thing of sponsors killing their clandes (and vice versa) in Kenya is now becoming way too much. I am still wondering how someone hasn't yet scripted it for a TV drama series. I bet the blockbuster movie would be an award winner. Week-in week-out, we are getting sad news of a person killed by their lover under controversial circumstances.

It's getting even more worrying how mostly young lads are increasingly dying in the hands of their older 's lovers. Just do a background check about all these lasses in sexual affairs with rich old men and you will find just how lazy the generation has become. Their dads 'sponsored' them to have masters degrees but they opt to settle for old men with money! It's terrible.

Now, yet another case of an older man killing his clande has been reported in Nairobi. This time round, a well known figure in the corporate world.

Former Wananchi Group CEO Richard David Alden was on Saturday arrested after he shot dead a woman at his Karen home. Alden, who is British national, was arrested after he told police that a woman he was with for the better part of Saturday had committed suicide by "shooting herself" in his house.

Alden, and the woman identified as Grace Wangechi Kinyanjui, 42, are believed to be having an affair. Alden, a licensed gun holder has been in the country since 2015 and his work permit was to expire next year in December. According to police, the suspect was held after a physical examination showed Wangechi’s body had visible injuries that suggested murder.

It has been alleged that after shooting Grace dead, Alden took her body to Karen hospital where he suggested that she had taken her own life. The hospital then called police, whom after examining the lifeless body, discovered that the victim had several stab wounds, broken fingers and bullet wounds.
