The 2017 general elections are approaching fast! Every being who wants to "grab" a seat for themselves are positioning or have positioned themselves properly.

In the run-up to the much anticipated elections, a lot of women candidates have declared their interests in vying for the available seats, which by the election day in August will have been declared vacant.

Among them is this beautiful, sizzling hot lady from Lamu. She is called Muthoni Marubu. Currently, she an MCA in the Lamu County Assembly. In the upcoming elections, she will be vying for the Lamu West MP seat on Jubilee Party ticket.

She says:

"I am determined to see the transformation of Lamu County into a industrial hub. It can be done, it's being done and am privileged to be part of the team. I am a village girl who believes that Lamu County can feed Africa. That we can make Lamu the Dubai of E. Africa. That we can bring the World to Lamu and Lamu to the World. That's where President Uhuru Kenyatta wants Lamu to be through actualization of the LAPSSET Corridor and the Lamu Port. Lamu is immensely endowed, lets turn our potential energy into kinetic energy. We can do it! Lets do it!"

Muthoni was was born in Mpeketoni, Lamu County in 1989. She is a first born in a family of five. In 2005, she sadly lost her mum. She went to Ndeu Primary Schools in Hindi Ward, Lamu County and later joined Lamu Girls High School, Lamu County.

In 2013, she graduated with a degree in International Relations from USIU. Before she graduated, she was nominated as an MCA.
