KTN Paying TV Stars A Paltry 4,000/- A Month?! Star Opens Up In Bitter Rant About Why She Quit!

Ha! I cannot believe that a nationally syndicated TV channel like KTN -one of the most popular in Kenya can be paying TV stars 4,000 Kenya shillings! Say it isn't so! How now? But yet one of the stars of it's immensely popular TV shows Hapa Kule has come out alleging that she was being paid a paltry sum.

According to Rose Nyabhate, she was being paid 1,000/- shilling to appear per episode. That comes to 4,000/- per month. What does that cater to? Transport? You cannot even fumigate a household in Eastlands for bedbugs for that paltry sum!

This is what the irate star had to say:

I dont want to answer to any news outlet about Hapakule news of KTN.i will appreciate if guys you stop calling and asking.its true that i was shown the door from Hapakule after asking for a raise.i used to go home with 1k per eposode translating to 4,000 a month!

Last yr The MCSK was to give us 10,000 a day but it was slashed to 7000.

If an episode the production makes 200,000 and iam given 1,000 thats really an insult.

i was fired by Abel Mutua,who was once a good friend with reasons that.

1.i incited my colleagues

2.i left their wattupp group

Who gets fired for leaving wattup really?

I shoot in kiambu each week no transport and only 1meal a day,which i make 1k!!

Fame doesnt pay bills.I loved the show alot and gave my best but it was never enough.

I dont want to talk about this any more.

I was fired!
