Moments after controversial Congolese soukous singer Koffi Olomide was deported from Kenya aboard a KQ flight, his lawyer George Wajackoyah has claimed that the right procedure was not followed in his deportation. Koffi was deported to Kinshasa, DRC, after he assaulted one of his female dancers at JKIA on Friday.
“Whoever gave the orders was malicious and acted contrary to the constitution,” Wajackoyah said during a press conference at JKIA on Saturday.
He accused the police of harassing The Selfie hit maker contrary to the constitution saying that he was deported without a passport.
“The right procedure was not followed. We have not seen any video evidence and no complainant has come forth,” he said.
The lawyer noted that the video showing Koffi kicking his dancer was taken with ill intent. He said that the government cannot deport a person without giving them a chance to respond.
