There's a story in The Star newspaper today that photo-activist Boniface Mwangi insulted owners of a particular business premises in Nairobi.

It's being alleged that Boniface Mwangi and his friends parked their bikes in front of the building, and when the owners protested, he boasted how he's a big man and "they should know people". Apparently the police had to be called to force him out.

I reached out to Boniface Mwangi and here's his response;

We had gone for a lunch meeting at Java, Adams arcade. The watchman allowed us to park our bikes next to a Shawarma shop. The Shawarma shop owner (Pictured below) came and insulted us for parking there but we ignored his insults and we went in to Java for our lunch.

While having lunch they attempted to clamp our bikes and when we stopped them,the owner and his tatooted friend insulted us,they called us F words and blocked us from leaving with his car.

The management came and told us we should pay an obstruction fee even if we had been given permission to park there by one of the guards. One of the men who was abusing us had tattoos in his neck and after causing a scene, he left. We paid 1000/- bob for each bike and demanded for an apology for the insults. While we were still there, flying squad officers showed up carrying AK-47 and when we asked the man (in civilan clothes) carrying a gun  to identify himself he refused to reveal his name.

Bikers are frequent clients of Java adams arcade and we normally park our motorbikes there. We shall all be back there on Saturday for lunch.
