Octopizzo has had a trying 2019 as his year started with him being accused by the family of the late Kenneth Abom, a Strathmore University student, of involvement in his murder.

The Number Nane hitmaker said during that time, only three artistes reached out to him and since then, he has been able to separate real pals from fake ones.

With all these people I got to learn my true friends and family. Three artistes called me; King Kaka, Juliani and nameless, who took to Twitter.

He said this today morning in an interview with Kiss 100 during the breakfast show. Octopizzo cleared the air on the matter, saying it's been a tough year for him. He went on to reveal that he was inundated with calls from relatives about the incident.

I was having a good time and my uncles, aunty and grandmother were calling me asking what was going on because it was from people who hadin't called me for more than 7 years.

The story ran on KTN and during the Kiss 100 interview, he said that he had taken legal action against the media house.

the problem I had was with KTN. it is sad that media people didn’t take time to research all because they wanted to report fast and first to get clicks. In fact, I will never do an interview there. It was bad reporting and i took legal action.
