Citizen TV's Janet Mbugua likes strong women; achievers just like her. She recently introduced such a woman on her social media and I would love to tell you a few things about her. When not talking about her inspiring , she is pioneering a conversation about women entrepreneurs in Kenya.

Not so many women are in the entrepreneurship realm in Kenya as it is perceived to be more of a man's domain. That, however, has not deterred Catherine Mahugu from venturing into business. She is the founder of , an online market place that enables women from under-served areas in the country sell their art work. A look at the gorgeous website shows a collection of art pieces which include necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.

Among the people who have come out to support Kate include Citizen TV's Janet Mbugua who made the inspiring lady her #WCW. Kate was featured in Forbes Africa Magazine - June 2015 issue - among the Top 30 Under 30 Women. All this comes through her hard work; creating a brand that takes Kenyan fashion to another level; a brand that connects consumers to global makers and handcrafted jewelry from the developing world.

The World Bank has also listed her as one of the Top 11 Most Promising Women in Africa. As if not impressive enough, apart from empowering artisans, the products are made from recycled material.

She has advice for young upcoming entrepreneurs as far as getting the capital is concerned:

"In terms of sourcing funding, a lot of people think loans are from banks etc. But there are a lot of competitions that offer money for proof of concept. Look around for competitions for young people, particularly women online and apply. You never know!," she told Janet on .

Isn't this incredible? We look forward to seeing what's next for Kate!
