On Saturday, October 21, Kenyans woke up to the sad news about the Lake Nakuru tragedy.

A helicopter carrying five people namely; Apollo Malowo (the captain), bloggers; Anthony Kipyegon, John Mapozi, Sam Gitau and a woman identified as Veronica Muthoni had crashed in Lake Nakuru.

It's three days now and three bodies have been retrieved among them Apollo Malowa's which is still intact.

Well, as the search for the remaining two bodies continues, messages of condolences are still pouring in and Captain Apollo Malowa seems to have been a very social person.

He interacted with people from all walks of life and below is just a brief history of the kind of man he was. (Read things you didn't know about the late Captain Apollo Malowa in my next article).

Captain Apollo Malowa in 2015 you were flying me in Eurocopter Falcon 101 with my Pentagon team, your services than were of a passionate, vibrant young man with a bright future. Wherever you are may the Almighty Lord be with you.

Lympia Waithira: Dear Malowa, it’s taken too much to come into terms with your untimely demise...and even harder to fathom about the whole idea 😔. Thinking of all the planning, crazy shifts and loads of travels we’ve done this year, I can only say that I’ve been honored to have worked with you. The jokes and good times shall be missed in the office. Till we meet again, R.I.P. dear captain and boss. 💔💔😭
