Losing a loved one is most certainly one of life's most difficult moments to cope with. When death strikes in your family, or a friend, it leaves one in shattered. Devastated by the reality that the loved one would be gone forever!

That is why it takes a lot of strength to pull through such difficult times.

Kenyan singer Wahu Kagwi went through probably the darkest patch in her life so far when she lost her beloved dad on January 12, 2013.

Since the demise of her old man, the Sweet Love hit maker has never been the same.

After the death, Wahu (who is married to fellow singer Nameless and have two daughters together) showed her shattered emotions in a post on her social media pages which read:

"Words fail me daddy. I still can’t believe you are gone. I know you are happy and peaceful where you are…..but the reality of your passing hasn’t hit me the right way. You were an amazing father and a wonderful friend. U gave me wings to fly. I know u are now seated with Jesus, I will miss u. I love u forever. I shall see u again in heaven. Rest well."

Four years down the line, the singer is yet to find enough words to express the pain of losing her dad.

Today, being the 4th anniversary of Mr. Kagwi's passing on, his daughter had these sweet words to tell her dad, as she commemorated the departed man:

"Remembering my daddy....Its been 4 years since you left us. some days are better than others, but today i can smile :-) I still remember how happy you were when i told you i was expecting nyakio. Im so glad i told you. That joy was priceless to me....i didn't know you would leave us just a few days after that. Daddy you were such an amazing father to me. Prayerful, wise, comforting, friendly......so many beautiful words i can use to describe you. :-) It gives me comfort to know you are up there with the Heavenly Father, where you belong. Im grateful for the time we shared together... Love you always. Wahu."
