Vincent Omondi aka Vince Dancer aka Don is no more. The 28-year-old made headlines in March this year after he picked sh200, 000 in the busy Nairobi streets and returned to the owner.

"TODAY IN THE AFTERNOON, OUR BUSINESS NEEDED TO TAKE THE DAY CASH TO THE BANK, IT WAS AROUND 4PM. LIKE ALWAYS, I PICKED UP A BAG, PLACED AROUND 700K IN, UNFORTUNATELY, TODAY, THERE WERE LOTS OF 500/200 NOTES SO THE STASH TOOK UP MORE SPACE THAN NORMAL.

EACH BUNDLED INTO 100K AS ALWAYS, PRESSED IN THE BAG AND HEADED ON TO THE BANK. ON THE WAY HOWEVER, THE ZIPPER ON THE BAG CAVED IN AND SPAT OUT 2 BUNDLES OF NOTES ~ 200K.

DIDN’T NOTICE IT, PROCEEDED TO CROSS THE ROAD FROM KIMATHI STREET HEADED TO KENYATTA AVENUE," READ A POST BY THE OWNER OF THE CASH.

Vince Dancer left many mesmerised by his act of kindness and he was taken to a rehabilitation centre to help him overcome drug addiction.

After a five months stint in rehab, Vince went back to the streets after all who promised to help him failed to. He then resorted to menial jobs at Wakulima Market where he used to earn very little cash for upkeep.

"ONCE IN A WHILE, I’M TASKED WITH OFFLOADING FRUITS FROM TANZANIA. I ALSO CLEAN SHOPS. I AM PROUD OF WHAT I DID THAT DAY," HE SAID ADDING THAT ALL HE IS LEFT WITH IS HOPE THAT SOMEONE WILL HELP END HIS TRIBULATIONS.

Well, Vince Dancer's friend took to social media to break the sad news about his death leaving Kenyans in shock.

"Rest in Peace Vince

I have just received the sad news of the death of Vince Jawagoro. (His lifeless body was found at Eastleigh today) For those who don't know him, he is the street boy who was kind enough to return 200k to a stranger who had dropped the same in town on her way to the bank.

I met Vince on 25th October at an electronics repair shop along Jamia shopping mall. (That is where the photo was taken) He had come to remind the shop owner of his promise to give him a job. He was also very hungry.

He explained to us his journey through rehab and how Kenyans who had promised to assist him and get him jobs after rehab failed to keep their promises. He was even featured on TV shows when the story trended online. He was living at Basilica church at the time. The church had accommodation arrangements for street kids.

Sadly, The men in the shop refused to buy him food claiming that he would resort to buying glue instead... I gave him some cash I had with me. The shop owner also asked him to sober up and go back after elections for a job interview.

Jawagongo was a graduate of St. Pauls University, a brilliant young man whose life simply got cut short due to drug addiction brought on by life's frustrations," one of Vince's friends posted on Facebook.

Here are messages of condolences from Kenyans
