. That is not so much an indictment of whom I believe the man to be but simply in going with what his children and ex-wife said. However, , the man after whom Diamond and his son by Hamisa Mobetto are named after has decided to set the record straight.

In an interview with Mwananchi newspaper, mzee Abdul said that Diamond’s mother Sanura Sandra and him went their separate ways when their son was in form one.

The 52-year-old further said that he was yearning to be interviewed together with Diamond and his mother Sanura so that he can clear his name to the whole world.

“Natamani siku moja nikutanishwe katika mahojiano na Diamond na mama yake ile kila mmoja atoe alilonalo moyoni. Huyu mtoto kanipa majina mengi kutokana na yanayoongelewa mtaani kwamba nilimtelekeza, wakati hakuna ukweli wowote. Mimi niliachana na mama yake wakati akiwa kidato cha kwanza”

Mzee Abdul Naseeb went on to intimate that though she has moved on and is in a new relationship, Diamond's mother, Sanura Michaels or Kendra Michaels still contacts him whenever she feels the urge to. That feeling has however not touched Diamond who has never contacted his father since his relationship with Wema Sepetu went belly up:

“Tena wakati mwingine na maneno ya karaha, lakini ana afadhali (Sanura) kuliko mtoto ambaye mara ya mwisho tuliwasiliana akiwa na Wema Sepetu ambaya alikuwa akija naye hapa mara kwa mara kunisalimia.”
