For those of you who think Lil Wayne post 2007 and Drake are the epitome of rap and hiphop;

That is because you are the reason the artform I so love is dying a slow death by asphyxiation what with all the garbage rappers like Trinidad James.

And indeed the Kenyan hiphop scene has been hot quite unlike the American scene what with Khaligraph Jones, Kristoff and the rest holding it down but things are about to get hotter after it was announced that Khaligraph Jones will be working with Wu Tang affiliates on his next project. According to his manager, Buddha Blaze and this is what he told me about the rumours I had caught wind of:

It's true, Kenyan artist Khaligraph becomes the first Kenyan rapper to feature on an international collaboration. At the end of December he went into the studio to pen down lyrics to 'African Violet' written by Wu-Tang's former manager Cedric Muhammad and vocals by Swedish singer Cristos. This marks the beginning of a series of many more collaborations by Khaligraph and other global artist.

2015 is already promising big things!
