A Chinese actress Gao Liu has been left with a dead nose after a botched surgery.

The 24-year-old in a post she shared on social media, said that she underwent her procedure at a clinic in Guangzhou, China after a friend introduced her to the surgeon who carried out the operation.

Gao Liu, who has amassed 5 million followers on her Weibo page [China's second-largest social media platform] warned her about the dangers of plastic surgery, sharing her horrifying experience.

She wanted to get a 'better' shape but ended up with a dead nose tip.

'The entire procedure lasted four hours. I thought that in these four hours, I would be made more beautiful. I didn't expect these four hours to be the beginning of a nightmare,' she wrote in part.

The popular actress went ahead to reveal that she had thoughts of suicide after the botched surgery, saying,

'The skin on the tip of my nose… became darker and darker, and my nose became necrotic.'

Gao also revealed that she had lost a lot of money $61,800 because she was hospitalised for two months.

The actress will have to wait for at least a year so as to have reconstructive surgery.
