David Kangogo popularly known as David the Student is bad news.

The former Churchill Show comedian has been accused of conning Kenyans living in the US. Some of the frustrated Kenyans who've fallen for his tricks have come out to expose him and it's not two people but more than ten.

The frustrated Kenyans have branded him a professional con and are calling upon everyone else to stay woke lest he cons them. According to some of David's lenders, the apology letter that has been going round is old from March this year when they threatened to expose him, and he has been issuing the same whenever he's asked to pay the money he was lent.

Well, more another face of men and women who were conned by David the student have shared screenshots to prove that they indeed sent him money.

One of the men who sent more than Sh100,000 to David the Student exclusively told Mpashio.co.ke that the comedian had a bad habit of borrowing money and at one point fell out with his host. He narrated how his friend paid for the comedian's CNA classes but when he was given a job, he refused to work claiming it was hard.

So David was living with my friend who hosted him for 3 months in  Seattle, the guy was tired of David asking him for money in false pretense and with a good heart, he paid 600 for David CNA classes. David did the classes but he refused to work claiming it's to hard for him. After a while, the guy who hosted him was tired of him and he told Davy to look for something to do and get off the house. David lied to him that he already got his ticket back to Kenya and asked the guy to drop him off at the airport on a Saturday. David had no flight. He called me lying to me how he had missed his flight from Seattle to Dallas and since he had broken ties with his former host, he pleaded with me to let him stay at my place overnight and leave the next day. Just being human, I let the dude at my place so that next day, being on Sunday he leaves to Dallas then Kenya, as he had told me, so next day Sunday dude is not ready to leave and I asked him what time he was leaving then he started his lies how his flight was canceled again to Monday. That Sunday I had visitors at my house and I didn't want to ruin my day. So I let the guy be. So Sunday night I asked him what time he was leaving on Monday coz I wasn't about to leave him in my house and he started stories of how he needs to pay a fee penalty for his flight to Dallas coz of cancellation and since I was tired of this dude and I was ready to see him off, I ended paying for his ticket to Dallas mind you after he left I came to learn that he had tried to ask money from 2 of my visitors without my knowledge but no one fell prey. So after he left for Dallas he claimed that he will send me money through the guy who would be picking him at the airport in Dallas coz he was "supposedly" to spend the night there and leave to Kenya the next day. The dude is heartless in asking for money. He is a professional con man!"

Another man identified as Solomon narrated how David the Student refused to work after he was offered a restaurant job barely few days after he was sacked from two jobs, claiming that he was too classy to do such a job.

I took him as a small bro and wanted the very best for him but little did I know what was going on behind my back. I'm pissed off he did all that while under my roof😤. He had the best chance to succeed in life but he blew it off. He is very smart in conning people but those days are now gone. My wife got him a job twice & he got fired from both jobs in no time! I told him before he left my place I wish him all the best but he needed to change to succeed in this life.

Frank, who was the first to expose David the Student couldn't keep up with the lazy lad anymore. He said:

You did the best for that guy, he lived in your place lavishly, you gave him a chance but a con is just a con. He couldn't stop...thanks solo esp for accepting the responsibility to host him and keep him that long. I remember you even tried to employ him at your restaurant but dude too proud to work. Let him learn his lesson, America we work tirelessly hard. We can't cope with laziness.

A woman identified as Susan, also revealed how David the Student conned her and her husband, while they were visiting a friend in L.A, who is the comedian's former promoter. She said;

"We were visiting Stevo in L.A a few days before going to attend Rugby Sevens in Vegas. David approached me in the kitchen while I was cooking and asked me to send money on his behalf to a Kenyan number because he didn’t have a way to send the money and it was needed urgently. He said he will refund me in the morning once he withdraws from the atm. I agreed because it sounded very legit and convincing. Later I shared the story with my husband and his friends, and my husband was shocked.  One hour prior to David approaching me, he had approached my husband at the front yard and conned him money with the same exact story. In the morning my husband approached David and told him we were about to leave he needed to go to the atm and withdraw our money. David changed his attitude towards us like we were crazy. He later told us to request the money from Stevo, his former promoter. We were very lucky because Stevo refunded us our money. Stevo is a good man. He was very patient with David. He tried his best and gave David multiple chances to change his ways."

David's actions have shocked many and those he loan money are counting loses but nothing they can do. Evans Otieno, who is also a victim of the comedian's con games says taking his to court will take a long time for it to be resolved.

I don't think that taking him to court will arrest the situation, first and foremost folks here are busy for anyone to go that route, the best for him is to go back to where he came from and face it at home since people are alert of him now.
