Kenyans have expressed their disappointment at the slow reaction time by the Likoni Ferry administrators following the mother and daughter drowning tragedy that occurred over the weekend.evening.

The accident saw 35-year-old Marriam Kigenda and her 4-year-old daughter Amanda Mutheu drown after their vehicle slid from the MV Harambee ferry and sank in the Indian Ocean.

The Kenyan Navy has also failed Kenyans because hours later, the vehicle and its occupants have still not been recovered.

Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans;

@KenyanProject: I'm trying to imagine those horrifying last seconds when the victims realized that for sure this is it...No one's coming for us... We're sinking... And their loved ones who've been left watching this traumatizing video clip. I am crushed. I'm ashamed of my country.

@MirerahGeorge: It is purely unacceptable and heartbreaking to see our fellow suffering taxpayers that pay for your salaries to keep your jobs at KFS plunge Into the deep ocean without help. In the 21st century, this is total nonsense.
@nasirkenya: It’s sad that this had to happen. Total negligence on the part of KFS. But let us also be realistic here. The depth of the channel goes as deep as 100m, keeping in mind the undercurrent and not forgetting the poor visibility underwater.
@CMboha: It took some good time for the car to sink into the water if the rescue team was standby those people could have been rescued.
@MurimiMwihaki: Ngaiii....yaani it can be seen slowly disappearing? This means an even bigger accident would leave so many people dead.
@Kimutaileon1: It seems they sent to watch what goes on it's shameful to them.
