Kenya's athlete Hyvon Ngetich was just about to finish in first place at the Austin Marathon but her body began shutting down. She literally fell to her knees and what followed next made a monumental moment in TV history.
"I was like winning, you know. I was 500 kilometers in front. I looked back and I didn't see anybody," she told My Fox Austin news. She was very much ahead of everyone. Not until the last few meters came into view.
That's when she opted not to give up. Even when volunteers came to her rescue, she crawled to the finish line, coming into 3rd place.
When asked why she didn't give up, she said, "Running, always you have to keep going, going.”
