It is silly season, my country people!

A section of viewers are calling out TV personality Larry Madowo claiming that his tweets and social media posts "border on incitement, war mongering and belligerence among the people of Kenya."

The lobby group calling itself Television Viewers & Radio Listeners of Kenya (TEVIRA) want Larry to pen a public apology or else things will get really bad for him, professionaly.

In an open letter, TEVIRA posted their demands.

"OPEN LETTER TO LARRY MADOWO

Television Viewers & Radio Listeners of Kenya (TEVIRA) has noted with extreme concern your recent tweets, posts and utterances that border on incitement, war mongering and belligerence among the people of Kenya. You have been openly broadcasting messages or opinion that is subjective, divisive and malicious while knowing that your acts are contrary to Articles 33(2) , 34, 38 and 61 of the constitution . They are also contrary to various sections of the KICA Act(2013), The Media Act(2007) and the Code of Conduct of Journalists that require you to be fair, accurate and to act for public benefit.

If you have officially joined politics, get out of the studio onto to the streets to picket, demonstrate and petition rather than pretend to be objective on NTV.

You are spoiling the good name of Nation Media and must apologize to the general public within SEVEN days contrary to which we shall FILE an official COMPLAINT with the Media Complaints Committee to have you disciplined .

Secretary General."

Netizens have their opinion about the open letter. Here are some of them.

Evans Otieno: Did u do the same with Julie Gichuru? The author of this message alone has taken a tribal stand!

Benson Omwoma: Flash back is what is haunting you. Yes, Uhuru had a crowd at JKIA and the media was there when he returned from Hague. The truth is bitter why the double standards? Go to hell.

Kelvin Drizzy: Every one taking sides and ripping off the country to ashes..... I pity my country Kenya

F Shish Makaby: Nonsense, have been following LARRY and he is objective and HE HAS NEVER TAKEN SIDES. Stop ethnic profiling

Stephen Kariuki: Something must be done ASAP to avoid Rwanda like scenario.

Winnie Cate Maingi: Leave journalist in peace.. .am a viewer and not complaining

Bonny Lombardo: Kindly give an example
