Anything that deals with death, dead bodies and morgues normally arouses fear, uneasiness, and dread from most Kenyans. And this is not something one should be ashamed of.

But there are some who do not share those worries and work well in these dreaded professions such as that of being a mortician.

A mortician is a professional involved in the business of funeral rites. These tasks often entail the embalming and burial or cremation of the dead, as well as the arrangements for the funeral ceremony.

Eric Njoya is one such man. The acclaimed T.V anchor who has worked for both KTN and CGTN Africa has worked in the industry since his father taught him the business.  According to the Standard he said:

My dad trained me to be a mortician so to speak. His family objective was to make me work here and learn skills to start my own hospital and mortuary in future. My dream was not to work here and my dad was very strict on us.

How is that for having a side hustle? It may not be flashy, but it definitely is an honest day's(nights?) work for Eric.
