Kenyan Star Joins Malaysian Premier League

Born on 10th July, 1984, Kenyan professional footballer Lawrence Olum spent most of his time in United States where he schooled and started his football career. He has played for Portland Timbers, Minnesota Thunder, and Astin Aztex, Orlando City and Kansas FC where he won the major soccer league title last season with with the US based side. He has also played for Harambee Stars making 4 appearances and was instrumental in the last two matches against Comoros and Lesotho despite Kenya not qualifying for the CAF group stages.

Olum  has joined Kedah FA which is said to be one of the most successful clubs in the history of Malaysian football and host their matches in a 32, 387 capacity Darul Aman Stadium. Olum was excited and posted photos of him receiving his new club's scarves on facebook.
