A Kenyan politician has been left in shock after being blocked from attending Bob Collymore's cremation ceremony at Kariokor cemetery.

Bob who succumbed to Leukemia  has been cremated in the presence of family, close friend and allies.

The politician who could not be identified could not believe his bad luck after security officers completely refused to open the gate so that he could pass.

According to the officer only people who were on the list were permitted into the send off ceremony.

Efforts by the politician to send his body guard to try and negotiate for his entrance were thwarted as he  had to reverse and let others pass.

Speaking about his last moments with Bob Collymore Radio Africa CEO Patrick Quarcoo says

ON SATURDAY  PETER, ALYKHAN, BHARAT AND JEFF HAD OUR LAST MEETING WITH HIM. HE MADE US SMILE WHEN HE SAID, “I DON’T KNOW ABOUT THIS HEAVEN AND EARTH THING, BUT I TRULY HOPE THERE IS A LIFE AFTER DEATH.”

WE ASKED WHY. WITH A TWINKLE IN HIS EYE, HE SAID, “IF THERE ARE GHOSTS, I WILL COME AND RUSTLE THE CURTAINS AND ON BIRTHDAYS WHEN YOU LIGHT THE CANDLES FOR MY CHILDREN, I WILL COME AND HELP BLOW THEM OUT.”

Quarcoo adds

HE CALMLY TOLD US, “IF I GET THREE MORE DAYS, I WILL BE LUCKY.” WE ASKED WHAT WE MUST DO, SHOULD WE PART. “STAY TOGETHER, STAND BY WAMBUI,” HE SAID.
