Okwonko Mejja is one of the top genge tone musicians in the country having been in the music industry for so long. He opened up about his struggles with depression and stress after his wife left him.

He narrated that his wife packed her bags and left him through a text message while he was away from home in a business related meeting.

He was so much affected by his wife's comments that she wrote on the message but his friends were the ones who kept him composed where they introduced sports related stories football to just keep him away from suicidal thoughts.

On the nights that he was lonely, Okwonko Mejja narrates that, he would have negative thoughts. Currently, the genge tone top artist is still in the music industry but separated with his current lover.

CIKU MURIUKI

Ciru has been in the media for some time now and she still works with BBC. She's one of the top media personalities in Kenya.

After struggling with body image and depression, Ciru had to take a break from the social media. She had gone through a lot and the best way for her was to work and sleep.

Ciru is doing very well in her life and career.

JB MASANDUKU

Masanduku had depression after he separated with Tina Kaggia. The two got married in a private ceremony at the office of the attorney general. The marriage ended with a break up because of allegations of abuse. This allegations resulted in a divorce and Masanduku was given a restraining order.

Tina walked away with their two children and she never thought of looking back. Tina took care of the kids and kept their whereabouts a secret and even the school that the first born attended.

Masanduku was left alone and it resulted in depression before he recovered.
