Wambui Mureithi, Miss Tourism Kenya Kirinyaga County is on an all time high in Equador. The beauty queen is in Equador for the Miss United Continents international pageant. In the latest competition in the Miss Culture category, she managed to be top 5. This was alongside other representatives from India, Japan, China and Peru.

She is upbeat about winning the crown. Wambui is currently gunning for a win in the Miss Photogenic category. To vote for her to win, click on , head straight to her photo and click on "Voto" (Spanish) to enable her to win the crown.

She is the only one representing Kenya and among the four representing Africa in the contest.

Wambui was selected to participate in the contest because of her involvement in the "Niko Sober" campaign which aims to reduce deaths amongst youth in her community due to consumption of alcohol and drugs.
