Kenya Gets Nominated For "The Oscars Of The Travel Industry"

Kenya has been nominated for various slots in this year's World Travel Awards. The awards, dubbed the "Oscars" of the travel industry by Wall Street Journal were founded in 1993 and are awarded to leading hotels and hospitality companies around the world.

This year, Kenya got a host of nominations, which serves as an indicator that despite the security hurdles we have been facing, the country is still viewed as a top tourism destination. The categories include leading hotel brand, leading beach resort, leading domestic safari carrier and leading safari camp.
