The postmortem results of the security guard at the Office of the Deputy President, Sgt Frank Kipyegon Kenei, who was found dead with a bullet through his head reveal he did not struggle.

The guards manning two gates getting into the Villa Franca estate, Imara Daima said they last saw Kenei on February 17 at about 4 pm three days before his body was found.

Kenei’s body was found in his house on February 20 with a bullet wound in the head.

THE POSTMORTEM HAS SHOWN THAT THE SERGEANT DIED ON A SINGLE CONTACT GUN SHOT WOUND. THE BODY SHOWS HE DIED A DAY OR TWO BEFORE HE WAS DISCOVERED.

Government chief pathologist Johansen Oduor said, Kenei's body had no marks that indicate that there was a struggle by the officer. He also had no other wound except the bullet entry.

The only bullet entry was under the chin and its point of exit is on the forehead. The results also claim that the gun was placed at skin contact under his chin.

The forensic team says it's not conclusive whether it was homicide or suicide.

They will have to visit the scene tomorrow to piece together the details of the mysterious death.
