Kenyatta National Hospital acting CEO Dr Kamari has reassured Kenyans that the Precious Talent School students who are admitted at the hospital are doing fine.

Today morning, students were rushed to the hospital after classrooms collapsed at Precious Talent School located in Dagoretti South.

Only two are relatively critical but most are OKay. We have done CT Scans, x-rays and they have been examined by specialized surgeons. We are now feeding them.

For the parents at home we want to tell you that everything is OKay, but keep praying for them so that nothing changes. We are having information with parents on the position of their kids.

According to hospital management, there are 64 students admitted at Kenyatta but there are more admitted in other hospitals like Mediheal-Kawangware, Mbagathi and a hospital in Satellite.

All the affected parents are to stay at KNH till all the 64 names are read out.

If a parent does not hear the name of their kids, KNH has arranged for them to be transported to the three hospitals named above.

Some parents have already arrived at Chiromo mortuary to identify the remains of their kids. Some students remains have been transported to mortuaries chosen by their parents/guardians.

Rescue missions on the site of the collapsed classrooms are still ongoing.

The incident happened at around 7:00 am bringing learning to a standstill.
