A senior Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) employee was on Sunday found dead in his house after he failed to show up at work and his phone went unanswered.

The bank’s Nanyuki branch manager, George Kiarie, reportedly missed work on Saturday and when junior staffers attempted to reach him, his phone was switched off.

According to Laikipia County Commander Maxwell Nyaema, one of the employees hence got curious and filed a report at the Nanyuki Police Station.

Mr. Nyaema added that police officers then visited Mr. Kiarie’s house at Immanuel Flats in Nanyuki Town where they broke into his room only to find his body in the toilet.

The County Commander noted that investigations have since been launched into the possible cause of the sudden death of the KCB Nanyuki branch boss.

The body of the deceased was transferred to the Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
